Wallstone is typically 1-8” thick, 5-16” wide (also known as the face), irregular in shape, and semi-smooth on the top and bottom. At its name suggests, wall stone is used for building outdoor walls. We carry a variety of style wall stones different sizes. Thin (1”-3”), Regular (2”-4”), and Heavy (4”-6”).
Wallstone is sold by the pallet, which covers approximately 28-30 cubic feet and half pallet, which covers approximately 14-15 cubic feet.
We carry 2 types of natural wallstone: Colonial Wallstone & PA Flagstone
Colonial Wallstone
Colonial Wallstone is a type of flat topped blue stone commonly used for smaller scale walls. Colonial Wallstone is a byproduct of slabs being mined from bluestone quarries. We carry Colonial Wallstone in 3 different sizes (1”-3”, 2”-4” & 4”-6”).
PA Fieldstone
Fieldstone refers to stone that is harvested from the ground. They are typically flat topped and more round around the edges compared to freshly broken or quarried stone, which tends to be more angular. PA Fieldstone is commonly used for smaller scale walls. We carry Colonial Wallstone in 3 different sizes (1”-3”, 2”-4”, & 4”-6”).
