University Select Grass Seed Mix

Recommended Use: A high-end seed blend for establishing new turf or reseeding.

Blend: 35% Perennial Ryegrass, 35% Kentucky Bluegrass 30% Creeping Red Fescue

Application Period: April-May

Suggested Supplement: Use in conjunction with a starter fertilizer

Understanding the different types of seed:

Rye Grass is an all around seed that does well in all environments (sun & shade). It germinates around 7-10 days after seeding.

Blue Grass is used to grow most types of sod. The grass knits together creating a lush and thick grass. Blue grass takes about 30 days to germinate.

Fescue is used on many sports fields because it stands up well to adverse conditions. It requires less maintenance than other types of grass and can stand up to the stress of heat, sunlight and shade.
